Assistant Bordereaux Manager
Overview
A growing underwriting business is looking for an Operations & Reporting Analyst to help keep its premium processing and reporting running smoothly. The role involves working closely with brokers, underwriters, and internal teams, so it suits someone who is organised, confident with numbers, and comfortable dealing with different stakeholders. As the company continues to grow, there will be plenty of room to take on more responsibility and broaden the scope of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Premium & Bordereaux Management
- Produce accurate Risk and Paid BDX on a regular basis.
- Ensure data is kept up to date and correctly reflected across internal reports.
Working With Internal & External Teams
- Liaise with the IBA team, brokers, and underwriters to allocate premiums and resolve any issues.
- Request closings and remittances from brokers and follow up where needed.
- Support auditors and managers by providing information and helping with queries.
Analysis & Reporting
- Carry out Forecast vs Actuals analysis to help track performance.
- Assist with general reporting and contribute to improving processes where possible.
Growth & Development
- As the business expands, the role will naturally evolve, offering opportunities to take on new tasks and develop further within the team.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong eye for detail and confident working with data.
- Previous experience in insurance, underwriting operations, or a similar environment is helpful but not essential.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with different teams.
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business.
- Solid Excel skills.
