Overview
Large U.S. insurance company seeking a senior lawyer to support its life insurance and annuities reinsurance business within the Institutional Markets division. The role reports to a Deputy General Counsel and works closely with legal, compliance, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities

Draft and negotiate reinsurance agreements (ceded and assumed).

Advise on cross-border reinsurance transactions and capital solutions.

Support due diligence, disclosures, and conflict management.

Provide legal support for existing life & annuity portfolios and new strategic initiatives.

Partner with legal, compliance, and business stakeholders on regulatory and transactional matters.
Requirements

7+ years legal experience in life insurance, annuities and reinsurance.
