Business Analyst – Insurance

We are currently working with an MNC Insurance client for their Digital Transformation project.

This project is related to Point of Sales and e-KYC processes, customer onboarding, and insurance product digitalization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders in insurance operations, underwriting, claims, and customer service teams.
  • Bridge the gap between business units and IT/development teams to translate requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
  • Support digital transformation projects, particularly in areas such as eKYC implementation, online policy application platforms, and customer portal enhancements.
  • Conduct gap analysis, process mapping (AS-IS and TO-BE), and recommend improvements for efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings to elicit requirements and ensure alignment.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), prepare test cases, and support rollout and training activities.
  • Collaborate on Agile/Scrum methodologies, using tools like JIRA for project tracking.

Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector.
  • Proven experience in insurance domain, including knowledge of life/health/property & casualty insurance processes.
  • Hands-on experience with digital projects, particularly eKYC systems, customer onboarding, or digital insurance platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Cantonese (spoken and written); Mandarin is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
