Join a global specialty (re)insurance group as a Catastrophe Risk Analyst supporting the US Catastrophe Lead in a front-office aligned analytics team. You’ll support US catastrophe modelling, translating complex model output into clear, commercially relevant insights while working closely with underwriters and a global Catastrophe team.
We are recruiting a Catastrophe Risk Analyst to join a well-established, global Catastrophe Management team and support the delivery of US catastrophe analytics.
This is a front-office aligned role, sitting close to underwriting and providing direct input into risk selection, portfolio management and pricing decisions. The position is designed to work in close partnership with the US Catastrophe Lead, contributing technical expertise and analytical insight rather than owning or leading the function.
The Role
- Support catastrophe modelling and exposure management for US-written business.
- Work closely with underwriters to assess risk, explain model output and support pricing and portfolio decisions
- Produce and interpret catastrophe model results, including event loss, AAL and portfolio metrics
- Translate complex model output into clear, commercially meaningful insights
- Help maintain consistency of catastrophe views across US and global platforms
- Contribute to regulatory reporting, portfolio monitoring and internal governance
- Support development and enhancement of analytical tools, data and processes
- Collaborate with a global Catastrophe Management team across regions
