This is a high-impact, senior-level regulatory compliance role for someone who wants to move beyond pure execution and play a strategic, process-driven leadership role within the organization.
The Opportunity
The Insurance Regulatory Compliance Expert will own and oversee the company’s regulatory filings, licensing, statistical reporting, and regulatory correspondence across U.S. jurisdictions. This individual will serve as a thought leader, building structure, improving processes, and partnering cross-functionally to ensure compliance keeps pace with growth.
This role offers meaningful exposure to Product, IT, Finance, and Legal, and provides the opportunity to shape how compliance operates across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Own and manage the regulatory compliance program, including a comprehensive inventory of compliance obligations and deadlines

Lead state licensing, Certificates of Authority, renewals, and new jurisdiction applications

Oversee statistical filings, NAIC data calls, and ad-hoc regulatory reporting

Track and respond to consumer complaints and regulatory inquiries

Serve as the primary point of contact with state departments of insurance and other regulatory bodies

Maintain a master calendar and tracker for rate, form, and rule filings

Partner with Product and IT to ensure policy administration systems align with state-specific requirements (cancellations, non-renewals, disclosures, rating rules)

Drive process improvement, documentation, and scalable compliance workflows

Ideal Background

10+ years of regulatory compliance experience within the insurance industry

Deep knowledge of state licensing, filings, NAIC reporting, and DOI interaction

Experience supporting or partnering with policy administration systems

Proven ability to manage complexity across multiple jurisdictions

Strong communicator who is comfortable interfacing with regulators and senior stakeholders
