Credit Control Manager

Credit Control Manager | Dublin (Hybrid)

Oliver James is pleased to be supporting a well-established organisation in the search for a Credit Control Manager to join their Dublin office.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to take ownership of the credit control function. Reporting to the Revenue Control Manager, you will be responsible for optimising debt recovery, overseeing aged balances, and driving improvements in processes, systems, and reporting across the revenue team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement effective credit control policies to ensure prompt collection of receivables

  • Oversee debt recovery processes including payment allocation, approvals, and aged balance management

  • Assess customer credit risk, setting appropriate limits and payment terms

  • Carry out regular reviews of credit exposure and provide recommendations to senior stakeholders

  • Produce insightful reporting on debtor days, aged debt, and provisions for doubtful accounts

  • Deliver accurate weekly and monthly updates, including cashflow forecasts with supporting analysis

  • Manage direct debit operations and ensure procedures are fully documented

  • Build strong working relationships with commercial teams to support customer interactions and issue resolution

  • Contribute to technology and systems projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and reporting quality

  • Provide support across the wider revenue finance function as required

  • Promote best practice and continuous improvement in credit management

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified or nearly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or experienced credit control professional with relevant background

  • Proven track record in process improvement and change delivery

  • Strong analytical ability with the confidence to make sound, evidence-based decisions

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information and influence senior stakeholders

  • Experience leading, motivating, or developing colleagues in a fast-paced environment

  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable working to deadlines and managing competing priorities
