Cybersecurity IT Project Manager / Coordinator (Freelance)
We are currently looking for a Cybersecurity IT Project Manager / Coordinator to join one of our top clients on a freelance basis. This role will act as the key link between Cybersecurity and IT teams, ensuring the successful delivery of security initiatives across the organization.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact between Cybersecurity and IT departments
- Coordinate and manage cybersecurity-related demands from SOC and Security teams towards IT
- Track and ensure remediation of vulnerabilities, issues, and security tasks
- Ensure IT infrastructure services meet agreed quality standards and SLAs
- Monitor and optimize costs related to cybersecurity projects
- Ensure infrastructure compliance with cybersecurity policies and best practices
- Develop and maintain high-availability, contingency, and business continuity plans
- Guarantee service continuity, uptime, and security during critical events
- Maintain and centralize up-to-date documentation of IT infrastructure services
Requirements
- Proven experience managing cybersecurity or IT security projects
- Strong knowledge of cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure)
- Solid understanding of networking and cloud security (e.g. Security Groups, SCPs)
- Experience coordinating with infrastructure and third-party providers
- Familiarity with security tools and concepts such as:
- Fortinet Firewall
- Qualys, Lacework, SentinelOne
- MFA / 2FA, DLP, PAM, NAC
- Identity & Access Management, password-less, hardening
- Knowledge of DevOps environments is a plus
- Experience with tools like JIRA and Confluence
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Fluent English
