Location: Hybrid – Greater Los Angeles Area
The Director, Investment Reporting & Regulatory Accounting will play a key leadership role overseeing the firm’s statutory reporting and regulatory compliance related to investment portfolios. This position will partner closely with accounting policy, investment operations, and senior finance leadership to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial and statutory filings.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation and review of investment-related statutory and regulatory filings, including those submitted to the NAIC and other governing bodies.
Oversee regulatory and compliance reporting requirements across insurance entities and investment vehicles.
Manage and implement changes in investment accounting guidance and ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
Conduct technical accounting research to assess the impact of new or updated accounting standards and investment-related guidance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, and compliance to enhance reporting processes and controls.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of investment accounting professionals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in investment accounting within asset management or insurance industries.
- Deep knowledge of statutory accounting principles (SSAP) and NAIC investment reporting.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply regulatory guidance and manage complex filings.
- Strong technical accounting expertise and ability to communicate insights to senior leadership.
- Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.

This role is hybrid, based out of the firm’s Los Angeles-area office-offering a balance of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.
