Title: End User Computing Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC – hybrid, 3 days onsite
Type: Contract, through 12/31/26, high potential to extend into 2027
Pay Range: $60-75/hr

We are seeking an End User Computing Engineer to join a growing infrastructure and workplace technology team. This individual will play a key role in maintaining, enhancing, and evolving the technologies that power the day-to-day employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support enterprise endpoint management platforms (MECM), ensuring device health, security, compliance, and performance.
- Manage Windows desktop environments and oversee device lifecycle processes including deployment, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
- Support Microsoft 365 services including collaboration, productivity, identity, and messaging technologies.
- Maintain and troubleshoot virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions, helping deliver a reliable and consistent user experience, ideally with knowledge of AVD.
- Administer Active Directory and cloud identity platforms, including user provisioning, access management, and policy enforcement.
- Implement and maintain security controls across end-user computing technologies in alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and service improvement.
- Work closely with infrastructure, security, networking, and architecture teams to support strategic technology initiatives.
Skills Needed:
- Strong experience with:
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM)
- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Windows 10 and Windows 11
- Active Directory and Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
- Exchange Online
- Experience supporting virtual desktop technologies, including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of endpoint security, compliance, patching, and device management best practices.
- Experience performing advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Understanding of ITIL-based service management processes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell preferred).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.
- Microsoft certifications related to Endpoint Management, Modern Workplace, Azure, or Microsoft 365.
