About the Role

We are looking for a passionate GIS & Data Specialist to join a forward-thinking Data & Digitalisation team driving digital transformation in the infrastructure and construction sector. Key Responsibilities

  • GIS Tools & Database Management:
    Develop and maintain geospatial tools and services (geoportals, web mapping apps, etc.) and manage geospatial databases to ensure seamless data integration and visualization.

  • Data Collection & Processing:
    Collect, clean, and manage both spatial and non-spatial datasets. Ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy for reliable geospatial analysis and reporting.

  • Project Coordination:
    Lead geospatial projects aligned with infrastructure and construction needs. Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, translate business needs into technical solutions, and communicate complex concepts clearly.

  • User Support & Training:
    Provide technical support and training for internal teams and clients using GIS services. Promote adoption and ensure users are equipped to fully leverage geospatial tools.

  • Process Improvement & Documentation:
    Automate repetitive tasks, improve analysis workflows, stay up to date with emerging geospatial tech, and document all procedures to ensure scalability and reproducibility.


Required Profile

  • Master’s degree in Geography, Bioengineering, Earth Sciences or related field, with a specialization in GIS and ideally in data management.

  • Solid command of GIS technologies (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS), GNSS systems, geospatial analysis, and back-end IT environments.

  • Fluency in Dutch, with working knowledge of the other language and professional proficiency in English.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communicator, capable of delivering clear, structured, and didactic messages tailored to varied audiences.


Bonus Skills (Preferred but not required)

  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and 3D digital models.

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI, Digital Twins, or IoT in infrastructure contexts.
