IT Helpdesk Engineer (Junior)

  • Permanent role
  • 4-5 days on site in Dublin
  • Level 1 going to Level 2

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure across Azure and hosted environments

  • Support cloud migration projects and deployment of new IT systems and applications

  • Oversee system security, including firewalls, antivirus, and data backup/recovery

  • Manage patching, updates, and vulnerability remediation

  • Provide end-user support for hardware, software, and network issues

  • Handle user account management – onboarding, offboarding, and access control

  • Monitor systems, review logs, and respond to alerts

  • Assist in testing and implementation of new technologies and services

Skills & Experience

  • 1+ year as an IT Engineer or Helpdesk Engineer

  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies – Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, Defender for Endpoint

  • Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and PowerShell are a plus

  • Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices

  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage small projects, and adapt to change

  • A collaborative team player with attention to detail
