Middle Office Operations Manager | Leading Investment Organisation | Dublin (Hybrid)
Oliver James is exclusively partnering with a prestigious financial services organisation to recruit a Middle Office Operations Manager for their Dublin office.
This is an outstanding opportunity to lead a dynamic Middle Office team in a key control function that bridges the Front Office and external market counterparties. You’ll play a central role in ensuring trade integrity, regulatory compliance, and process optimisation across a broad asset class spectrum, with particular emphasis on OTC derivatives and innovative automation projects.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and support a high-performing team, overseeing training plans, recruitment needs, and performance reviews

Manage trade lifecycle oversight including matching, settlement, reconciliation, and failed trade resolution

Ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting (e.g., EMIR, SFTR, CSDR)

Oversee collateral management processes and relationships with outsourced providers

Monitor and manage OTC derivatives lifecycle events and associated documentation (e.g., ISDA, CSA)

Drive process automation and data analytics initiatives (e.g., RPA, dashboards, BI tools)

Champion operational risk awareness and implement process improvements aligned with industry best practices

Coordinate operational requirements for fund launches, closures, and mergers
What We’re Looking For

Minimum 7 years’ experience in financial operations, with strong exposure to Middle Office
-
Extensive knowledge of the full trade and settlement lifecycle, including OTC derivatives and exchange-traded instruments

Proven track record in managing and developing high-performing teams

Experience with fund operations and a strong understanding of NAV impactors

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and reporting frameworks (EMIR, SFTR, etc.)

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

Hands-on experience with systems such as Bloomberg, SWIFT, CTM, OSTTRA, FusionInvest, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, VBA, SQL, Snowflake)

A relevant third-level qualification in Finance, Mathematics, or related field
