Middle Office Operations Manager | Leading Investment Organisation | Dublin (Hybrid)

Oliver James is exclusively partnering with a prestigious financial services organisation to recruit a Middle Office Operations Manager for their Dublin office.

This is an outstanding opportunity to lead a dynamic Middle Office team in a key control function that bridges the Front Office and external market counterparties. You’ll play a central role in ensuring trade integrity, regulatory compliance, and process optimisation across a broad asset class spectrum, with particular emphasis on OTC derivatives and innovative automation projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support a high-performing team, overseeing training plans, recruitment needs, and performance reviews

  • Manage trade lifecycle oversight including matching, settlement, reconciliation, and failed trade resolution

  • Ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting (e.g., EMIR, SFTR, CSDR)

  • Oversee collateral management processes and relationships with outsourced providers

  • Monitor and manage OTC derivatives lifecycle events and associated documentation (e.g., ISDA, CSA)

  • Drive process automation and data analytics initiatives (e.g., RPA, dashboards, BI tools)

  • Champion operational risk awareness and implement process improvements aligned with industry best practices

  • Coordinate operational requirements for fund launches, closures, and mergers


What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in financial operations, with strong exposure to Middle Office

  • Extensive knowledge of the full trade and settlement lifecycle, including OTC derivatives and exchange-traded instruments

  • Proven track record in managing and developing high-performing teams

  • Experience with fund operations and a strong understanding of NAV impactors

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and reporting frameworks (EMIR, SFTR, etc.)

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Hands-on experience with systems such as Bloomberg, SWIFT, CTM, OSTTRA, FusionInvest, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, VBA, SQL, Snowflake)

  • A relevant third-level qualification in Finance, Mathematics, or related field
