.NET Tech Lead – Brussels – Long-term
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced .NET Tech Lead to join a high-impact team working on cutting-edge Security and Identity & Access Management (IAM) projects. This is a decision-making position where you will play a central role in shaping the technical direction, collaborating closely with business and technical stakeholders to define and execute a clear, ambitious roadmap.

What You’ll Do
🏗️ Architecture & Technical Leadership
- Design and own robust, scalable solutions following Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Event-Driven Architecture principles
- Define and enforce architectural standards and best practices across the team
- Lead technical direction discussions and drive alignment across squads and stakeholders
🗺️ Roadmap & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work hand-in-hand with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to build and maintain the technical roadmap
- Translate business needs into clear technical strategies
- Actively participate in prioritization and planning sessions, bringing technical insight to every decision
🚀 Technical Improvements & Modernization
- Identify and champion continuous technical improvements across the codebase and infrastructure
- Lead the decommissioning of legacy systems, ensuring smooth, risk-controlled migrations with minimal disruption
- Promote clean code, maintainability, and long-term scalability
👥 Coaching & Team Development
- Mentor and coach developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and ownership
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive, growth-oriented feedback
- Elevate the overall skill level of the team through knowledge sharing and hands-on guidance
🔧 Hands-On Development
- Develop and maintain .NET applications with a strong focus on quality and performance
- Work with Entity Framework for data access and ORM management
- Design and consume REST and SOAP APIs in line with industry standards
- Contribute directly to Security & IAM features with a security-first mindset

Nice to Have
- Experience in Security, IAM, or Identity protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML)
- Knowledge of event driven architectures (with message brokers usage)
- Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure / AWS, …)
- Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments
