Oliver James have partnered with a leading European digital infrastructure business to find a talented and experienced Network & Server Infrastructure Senior Analyst to join their growing TechOps team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering next-generation edge infrastructure across multiple European locations, working at the forefront of the data centre industry.
The Role
You’ll be embedded within a high-performing TechOps Infrastructure team, taking ownership of the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Fortinet network and server infrastructure across a growing multi-site European estate. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders, third-party vendors and managed service providers to ensure seamless delivery of Azure and server infrastructure services.
This is a hands-on senior role with genuine influence – you’ll contribute directly to the infrastructure roadmap and architecture, lead the onboarding of new datacentre sites, and act as the go-to change owner for all network and server infrastructure matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the design, implementation and ongoing maintenance of Azure and server infrastructure across multiple European locations
- Provide day-to-day service delivery oversight, ensuring services are fit for purpose and best in class
- Lead the onboarding and transition of new datacentre sites into the standard infrastructure estate
- Manage and develop relationships with key vendors and third-party providers
- Contribute to infrastructure roadmap planning and architecture decisions
- Report on performance, capacity and effectiveness of the infrastructure function
- Support 24x7x365 monitoring and operation, including participation in an on-call rota for major incident management
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive networking experience across both project and BAU environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure (Solutions Architect level) and Windows Server 2019/2022
- Fortinet certification or equivalent hands-on experience
- Solid understanding of datacentre environments and IT infrastructure
- Experience managing third-party vendors and external service providers
- ITIL v3 or v4 qualified
- Highly organised, self-directed and comfortable working across multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Willingness to travel across European locations as required by the business
