Project Manager – Financial Systems Implementation (Sage Intacct)
Overview
We’re partnering with an organization undergoing a major financial systems transformation and are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of Sage Intacct. This role will act as the internal owner of the implementation, coordinating internal finance and IT teams while managing external implementation partners.
This is a highly visible role that works closely with accounting leadership and executive stakeholders to ensure the system is delivered successfully, adopted by users, and positioned for long-term success.
What You’ll Do
Lead the Implementation

Own the end-to-end project plan, including scope, timelines, dependencies, and risk management

Serve as the primary internal point of contact for external implementation partners and the software provider

Ensure alignment across functional, technical, and leadership teams
Partner with Finance & IT

Work closely with accounting, FP&A, and IT teams to gather requirements and map business processes

Ensure finance workflows are optimized and supported in the new system

Coordinate data migration, integrations, and testing activities
Manage Vendors & Stakeholders

Hold external partners accountable to deliverables and milestones

Communicate status, risks, and decisions clearly to senior leadership

Escalate issues appropriately and drive resolution
Drive Testing, Training & Adoption

Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) and readiness for go-live

Support change management efforts, including training and documentation

Help ensure users are confident and successful in the new system
Post-Go-Live Ownership

Support stabilization after go-live

Partner with internal teams and vendors on enhancements and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For

Proven experience leading ERP or financial system implementations (Sage Intacct strongly preferred)

Strong project management background with demonstrated ownership of complex initiatives

Experience working with external implementation partners or consulting firms

Solid understanding of accounting and financial processes

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive stakeholders

PMP or similar certification is a plus
