This is a client-facing actuarial role, sitting very close to the broking teams. The focus is on helping insurers design, price, and structure reinsurance programs using actuarial analysis, and then supporting those placements in the market.
My client is a leading reinsurance brokerage with office locations in New York, Philadelphia and Minneapolis. We are seeking an experienced Reinsurance Actuary to join their team.
This is a high-impact role within a top-performing analytics team, working across actuarial, analytics, and broking functions. The position supports the full suite of actuarial work related to reinsurance placements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing loss ratio analysis, experience/exposure rating, and stochastic modelling
- Presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders
- Advising clients on reinsurance strategy and supporting broking activities
- Reviewing work from junior analysts
- Contributing to the development of actuarial tools, processes, and emerging technologies
- Supporting training and mentorship within the team
Qualifications
- 5+ years of P&C reinsurance actuarial experience
- Actuarial qualification (or equivalent under an international framework)
- Strong technical skills and experience in pricing, modelling, and analytics
