Risk Management Business Analyst – Insurance MNC

Our client, a leading player in the Insurance sector, is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join their Risk Management team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects focused on predictive risk modelling and enhancing risk assessment frameworks.


As a Business Analyst, you will act as a critical bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the successful delivery of risk management solutions that align with business objectives. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing predictive risk models while driving data-driven decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Risk, Actuarial, and Analytics teams to gather and analyze requirements for risk management initiatives.
  • Work on the development and enhancement of predictive risk models to identify, assess, and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and ensure alignment with technical teams.
  • Conduct data analysis and provide insights to support risk management strategies, leveraging tools such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and user stories.
  • Support the testing and validation of predictive models and risk management tools.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to drive consensus on project goals and deliverables.
  • Provide input into the design and execution of strategies to improve existing risk management frameworks.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the Insurance or Financial Services industry.
  • Hands-on experience with predictive risk models and familiarity with risk assessment methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or SAS (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Solid understanding of insurance risk management practices, including regulatory requirements (e.g., Solvency II, IFRS 17).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Confluence.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables.
  • A degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.

Desirable Skills:

  • Exposure to Machine Learning or AI techniques for predictive modelling.
  • Experience working on large-scale insurance transformation projects.
  • Certifications such as CBAP, FRM, or equivalent would be advantageous.
