Salesforce / Java Developer / Kafka Implementation (Contract) – Bern
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce / Java Developer with hands-on Kafka implementation experience to support a major integration project for a leading global insurance company.
You’ll play a key role in designing and delivering scalable solutions across Salesforce, Java, and Kafka in a complex enterprise environment.
Key points at a glance:

Hybrid role based in Zurich (2-3 days on-site expected)

Fluent German and English required

Salesforce development, Kafka implementation, Java, LWC, API integration

Initial 7-month contract (starting July 2025)

Full-time, 100% capacity
Day-to-day responsibilities:

Develop and customise Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and LWC

Design and implement Kafka-based integration between Salesforce and other platforms

Build robust, scalable Java services to support event-driven architecture

Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and optimise existing applications

Ensure high-quality delivery aligned with enterprise architecture standards
Ideal background / experience:
-
Experience in Salesforce development and system integration
-
Proven track record in Kafka implementation (not just usage)

Strong Java backend development skills

Knowledge of data migration and middleware tools

Salesforce certifications are a plus
-
Fluent in German and English
-
Proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in cross-functional team environments
