Job Title: SAP Supply Chain Analyst

Location: Richmond, VA area with periodic time at a nearby manufacturing facility

Salary Range: $90,000 to $140,000

About the Role

We are seeking an SAP Supply Chain Analyst to help manage and improve our SAP S/4HANA environment supporting supply chain operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring that procurement, inventory management, order fulfillment, and planning processes function efficiently within the ERP system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain SAP S/4HANA supply chain modules including Materials Management (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD), Inventory Management (IM), and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Participate in system testing, troubleshooting, and change implementation activities.
  • Recommend and implement system updates that improve operational efficiency and support business objectives.
  • Document and analyze supply chain workflows from procurement through fulfillment.
  • Coordinate integration between supply chain modules and related SAP areas such as finance.
  • Ensure system processes align with internal controls, policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide guidance, issue resolution, and system training for business users.
  • Assist teams during system changes, updates, or new functionality rollouts.
  • Monitor system usage and help teams adopt best practices for SAP processes.
  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in current supply chain workflows and recommend improvements.
  • Support initiatives that improve demand planning, supplier management, and inventory accuracy.
  • Help ensure ERP-supported processes meet industry regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and operational metrics.
  • Analyze supply chain data to highlight trends, risks, or opportunities for improvement.
  • Support leadership with data-driven insights for operational decision-making.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related discipline (or comparable professional experience).
  • Approximately 2-5 years of experience working with SAP supply chain modules such as MM, SD, IM, or MRP.
  • Practical experience configuring and supporting SAP S/4HANA systems.
  • Strong analytical thinking, documentation abilities, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or chemicals.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as FDA regulations, 21 CFR Part 11, or similar standards governing electronic systems.
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, system integrations, or large-scale process mapping projects.
