A leading insurance organisation is looking to hire a Senior Claims Examiner for their NYLL team. In this senior technical role, you will be responsible for managing end to end New York Labor Law claims, including complex coverage investigation, defense coordination, litigation and relationship management throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Handles mid to complex NY Labor Law claims including litigation (along with some commercial general liability claims / construction liability claims)
- Handles assigned claims following company guidelines and industry best practices with a minimal amount of supervision.
- Assigned claims will often involve coverage interpretation and litigation
- Prepares appropriate coverage letters without supervision.
- Manages key business relationships with clients and other professionals
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of handling NY Labor Law claims – key requirement for this role
- Additional experience within General Liability / Construction Bodily Injury, Construction Defect, Business Auto, Commercial Property etc. highly beneficial
- Experience working for a high calibre insurance organisation or law firm
- Strong educational background. Degree and ideally insurance/construction qualifications
This role is hybrid 3 days in office from NYC or NJ with a competitive base salary up to $155,000 + 15% annual bonus and benefits package, along with a clear progression plan for the future.
