Role Overview
Senior Counsel supporting a global (re)insurance platform, advising on a broad range of corporate, transactional, and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on corporate law, M&A, financing, and restructuring transactions
- Support insurance and reinsurance agreements and related matters
- Provide day-to-day legal guidance to business units and leadership
- Ensure regulatory and legal compliance across jurisdictions
- Manage and oversee external counsel
- Review and challenge legal input on key business initiatives
- Support process improvements and legal team efficiency
- Handle commercial contracts and general business law matters
Candidate Profile
- Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE
- Background in top-tier law firm or strong in-house team
- Experience in corporate / transactional work (M&A, finance, etc.)
- Financial services or (re)insurance experience preferred
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Able to work cross-functionally and across jurisdictions
