Oliver James is representing a well-established and globally active insurance organization is looking to add a Senior Financial Analyst to its finance team. About the Role
This position supports multiple business units, providing essential financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis. The right candidate will bring a strong analytical skillset, comfort working with reinsurance data, and an ability to communicate insights clearly across technical and non-technical teams.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with the development of key reports: P&L, expenses, losses, premium/commission, earnings, budget/forecast, and ad hoc reports

Support quarterly close processes and ongoing financial operations across multiple profit centers

Analyze and reconcile reinsurance structures (e.g., facultative, quota share, excess of loss)

Model impacts to P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow

Collaborate closely with teams across underwriting, claims, operations, and IT to resolve issues and drive process improvements

Communicate financial results and trends in a concise, actionable way
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within a P&C or reinsurance company

Strong financial modeling and data analysis capabilities

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
