Job Title: Senior Network and Security Engineer
Location: Lucerne – Hybrid & Flexible
Our client designs, builds, and operates modern IT infrastructures across networking, security, communication, and cloud environments. They support well-known organisations with reliable solutions using leading technologies in LAN/WLAN, security, virtualization, and cloud services.
The role:
You will be a key technical partner for selected customers, ensuring stable and secure network environments both in the data center and on-site. With a strong customer focus and a collaborative mindset, you will help maintain smooth operations while contributing to the development of high-quality infrastructure solutions.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and optimize modern network and security environments.
- Lead demanding IT projects from concept to final acceptance.
- Maintain and support customer networks.
- Continuously expand your expertise in networking and security topics.
- Share your knowledge proactively and collaborate closely with the team.
- Work independently and take ownership of your tasks after onboarding.
What You Bring:
- Completed IT training and professional experience, or ongoing part-time studies in computer science.
- Strong networking skills (switching, routing, WLAN) with CCNA/CCNP-level knowledge or equivalent.
- Solid experience with HPE Aruba solutions.
- Strong firewall know-how, ideally with Fortigate certifications.
- Interest and skills in IT security topics such as proxies, NAC/Radius, PKI, and certificates.
- Understanding of Windows Server/Client and virtualization environments.
- Communicative, authentic personality with strong customer orientation.
- Independent, structured working style and ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Fluent in German and English
