Senior Software Engineer (Salesforce), Contract to Hire, Remote

We are partnering with a leading insurance organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer II with strong Salesforce expertise to join their Enterprise Platforms team.

This role sits within a large-scale operations function supporting key business areas including Retirement, Life, and Benefits. The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering and evolving Salesforce-driven sales and contact center solutions, with a strong focus on integration, scalability, and customer experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance solutions within Salesforce Financial Services Cloud
  • Support contact center transformation initiatives, including platform migration and optimization
  • Work with Amazon Connect to improve customer service operations and data flows
  • Build and maintain integrations across complex enterprise systems (customer, policy, and engagement data)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, data, and engineering
  • Lead or contribute to technical discovery, solution design, and architecture discussions

Required Experience & Skills

  • 9+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on Salesforce
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, including Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
  • Proven experience designing and delivering system integrations across complex ecosystems
  • Strong understanding of data structures and distributed systems
  • Experience working within large-scale, cross-functional enterprise platforms
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and lead discovery efforts
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional experience with Financial Services Cloud (FSC) capabilities and data models
  • Background in financial services or insurance industries
  • Experience supporting contact center or sales transformation programs
  • Exposure to data and analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, customer data platforms)
  • Familiarity with modern CRM and customer engagement ecosystems

Contact Center Transformation

  • Migrating legacy platforms to Salesforce, with a focus on improving efficiency and optimizing customer service representative (CSR) data through Amazon Connect

Sales Effectiveness Initiatives

  • Enhancing sales capabilities within Retirement business lines through improved integrations and customer engagement tools

Data & Analytics Integration

  • Partnering with data teams on upcoming initiatives involving advanced analytics and customer data platforms
