We’re working with a well-established alternative credit manager in New York that is continuing to grow its asset-based and opportunistic credit platform. They’re looking to add an Analyst / Senior Associate to a lean, collaborative team focused on ABS, asset-based finance, asset-based lending, and special situations.
This is a hands-on investing role. You’ll be involved from day one in underwriting, structuring, and managing transactions, often working on more complex opportunities, including stressed or illiquid assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite and analyze investments across ABS, ABF, and ABL transactions
- Review collateral pools (consumer receivables, specialty finance assets, niche lending platforms, etc.) and assess performance trends
- Build and run cash flow models, with a focus on downside scenarios and recovery analysis
- Support deal execution, including diligence, structuring, and working through documentation
- Get involved in special situations and restructuring scenarios where applicable
- Monitor existing investments and flag risks or opportunities to the team
- Work closely with senior team members, legal counsel, and external partners on transactions
Qualification:
- 3-7 years of relevant experience in structured credit, specialty finance, private credit, or credit-focused investment banking
- Exposure to ABS, ABF, ABL, or asset-based investing
- Strong modeling skills – comfortable building cash flow models and thinking through credit downside
- Exposure to stressed/distressed or special situations
