Oliver James is partnered with a global property & casualty insurance organization is seeking a VP, Finance to oversee enterprise-wide financial planning, business controlling, and management reporting functions. This position plays a key leadership role in driving accounting process efficiency and data accuracy, reporting directly to executive leadership.
Job Summary:
The VP, Finance will oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for a national property & casualty insurance organization. This individual will lead the financial data collection, analysis, and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across all accounting functions. The role also involves managing a team of finance professionals and collaborating closely with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes

Oversee enterprise-wide financial reporting and business controlling activities

Analyze financial results and provide insights to executive leadership

Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness in all financial data and reporting

Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and control within accounting operations

Supervise and develop a team of finance and business controller professionals

Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements

Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with business strategy
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience within a P&C insurance company

Strong leadership background in accounting and financial reporting

Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
