Oliver James is working with a renown Group Insurance firm in Hong Kong who are transitioning a transformation project into a business as usual function. As such, we are looking for an application manager who will oversea their group applications.
- Knowledge of handing mission critical Regional applications in a matrix organization
- Knowledge of system design, implementation, and user support principles and practices.
- Demonstrated skill in automating manual processes using DevOps, Python or similar technologies.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Azure Cloud Stack and able to design solutions for business needs.
- Ability to communicate and advice Senior executive on technical issues/concerns
- Knowledge on budgeting especially on cloud subscription model & charges, cost-benefit analysis, recharging, finance reporting etc.
- Extensive experience in troubleshooting system issue and resolving complex performance issues.
- Previous experience in migrating on-prem solution to Cloud, assessing Cloud solution, conduct POCs and revamp of existing systems
- Strong experience on BAU operations, Incident management, Service request management and Change request management and support model.
- Strong knowledge on ITSM processes and able to on-board new applications from project phase to BAU operations.
- Experience in vendor service delivery model for resolving high complex issues, product bugs / hotfixes.
- Provision of training and knowledge transfer to peers on the use of new software applications
- Good documentation skills and ability to prepare Support Model Documents, User Manuals, Technical procedures, etc.,
- Good technical knowledge on OS (Windows/Linux), Database, ETL, Data visualization, Grid computing, Office Excel, MS Project is essential.
