My client, a top Private Equity Firm is looking for an Assistant Controller to join and lead their expanding team. Our client works on a hybrid basis in downtown Chicago, offers competitive compensation, comprehensive health, PTO and retirement benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle accounting for private equity funds and the management company

• Prepare financial statements and investor reports

• Manage capital calls and distributions

• Support annual audits and tax filings

• Track investment activity and valuations

• Help improve accounting processes and systems

• Work with junior staff or external fund administrators

What We're Looking For:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA is a plus)

• 5+ years of accounting experience in Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate, or Public Accounting

• Strong understanding of fund accounting and GAAP

• Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail

• Management and review experience
