My client, a top Private Equity Firm is looking for an Assistant Controller to join and lead their expanding team. Our client works on a hybrid basis in downtown Chicago, offers competitive compensation, comprehensive health, PTO and retirement benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle accounting for private equity funds and the management company
Prepare financial statements and investor reports
Manage capital calls and distributions
Support annual audits and tax filings
Track investment activity and valuations
Help improve accounting processes and systems
Work with junior staff or external fund administrators
What We're Looking For:
Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA is a plus)
5+ years of accounting experience in Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate, or Public Accounting
Strong understanding of fund accounting and GAAP
Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail
Management and review experience
