Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join a growing private equity firm. This role will work closely with the CFO and play a key part in overseeing the firm's financial operations, reporting, and compliance functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance within the private equity or asset management industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the CFO in managing all accounting and financial reporting activities

• Oversee fund and management company accounting, including month-end and year-end close processes

• Prepare consolidated financial statements and investor reporting packages

• Coordinate annual audits and tax filings with external auditors and tax advisers

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and regulatory requirements

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

• Help implement process improvements and accounting systems enhancements

• Provide oversight and mentorship to junior accounting staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred

• 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in private equity or asset management

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, fund accounting, and partnership structures

• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel

• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
