Oliver James are supporting a specialist Insurer in the London market in their search for a Claims Counsel with considerable Cyber Claims experience, for a new position in their high calibre Claims function.

The organisation

My client is a Specialist Insurer, a well known and leading member of the global Insurance market, part of one of the World's largest Insurance groups. Well established, with headquarters in London, they write business across the globe, across: P&C, Reinsurance, Marine and other product specialty lines.

The role

• This position will have a strong focus on Cyber Claims, an area recognised as one the fastest growing and most innovative at present in the market. You will manage a caseload of both Cyber and IP claims.
• As a senior figure, and a subject matter expert in the function, you will be looked to for advice and support from a technical and legal perspective by other members of the team, as well as other business functions, being a key stakeholder for the Underwriting department.
• You will also be given ownership of certain client accounts, and will foster and develop strong relationships with them in order to ensure successful delivery of objectives, and profitably develop those relationships further.

What you will bring

• To be successful in your application for this role, it is first essential that you are a qualified Lawyer, either holding a US or UK legal qualification, with prior training either in an Insurance focused Law Firm, or equivalent training in the In-house Insurance market.
• Equally critical is that you will have extensive experience in handling Cyber Claims, with a strong and demonstrable track record of leading on large and complex claims in this area. London market experience is a strong preference.
