Our Investment Banking client is seeking to hire a Client On-boarding VP for their growing Dublin Operations.

Department Overview:

  • The Client Management Team's primary responsibility is relationship management and partners with the desks to ensure client requests for new and organic business and new product coverage are met in a timely manner. The team is also responsible for assisting with large client relationships initiatives that impact the dealer. The team collaborates with many internal stakeholders to co-ordinate onboarding requirements and follow through to completion. Client Management is committed to ensuring services provided across the Bank and to its clients are delivered in a professional manner, that risk is minimized, and the client experience is a positive one.

Position Summary:

  • The Client Management member plays a key partnership role across Sales & Trading. The accountabilities of the position include leading the Operations team to deliver effective client support, actively leading client onboarding and engagement efforts to increase communication and strategic partnership. The Client Management team member will be responsible for client onboarding and support across Europe however will also represent globally and contribute to driving global strategy.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop a solid understanding of the Bank's client onboarding requirements including the new global regulatory framework, credit, legal and AML/KYC and Tax and understands the role of various impacted stakeholders
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients and internal business partners including Sales, Trading, Investment Banking, Credit, Legal, Compliance and Operations
  • Act as the central point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders on all client initiation issues and understands the role of various stakeholders involved
  • Act as a central point to coordinate and ensure all required strands of onboarding are completed and results in a trade and settlement ready status
  • Working with the Front Office to, track and prioritize high value relationships
  • Proactively reducing the client touch where possible
  • Assist with the development and delivery of client initiation packages
  • Provide updates to senior management on critical issues and client initiation delays
  • Escalate and manage client issues proactively
  • Utilize technology to track and monitor workflow and updating databases with required information
  • Produce reports and status updates as required
  • Assist with developing and enhancing procedures, policies and to streamline current process and promote consistency and transparency
  • Participate and represent the team in strategic projects as required

  • Ability to translate client requirements and influence prioritisation
  • Capital markets cross asset class experience
  • Broad market knowledge and ability to act as a client advisor
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Irish/UK regulations and anti-money laundering rules & requirements such as the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing, Criminal Justice Act (Ireland)
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of MIFiD/MIFiD II
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the operating environment, business process and procedures, the transaction lifecycle, as well as the businesses supported (e.g. Fixed Income, Equities, Global Counterparty Credit);
