About the Role
As a Company Secretary, you will play a central role in supporting and strengthening corporate governance across the company's European and UK entities. Based in Amsterdam, you will work closely with the global legal team. The position offers significant international exposure, including to APAC and North America.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and coordinating board and committee meetings (UK/EU): setting agendas, taking minutes, ensuring proper follow-up
Managing legal entity structures and maintaining corporate documentation
Monitoring and fulfilling legal obligations to regulators across Europe and the UK
Advising on governance-related matters, with a focus on best practices
Supporting international legal projects and transactions
Streamlining processes, documentation, and administrative standards within the function
Acting as the first point of contact for governance-related inquiries across Europe
This is a newly created role, providing the opportunity to shape the position and expand its scope over time. There is plenty of room for substantive growth, broader responsibilities, and direct involvement in strategic decision-making.
What You Bring
At least 5 years of experience as a Company Secretary in a regulated, international environment
Experience in Dutch corporate governance and, ideally, the UK context as well
A completed relevant degree (e.g., Law, Public Administration, Accountancy)
A corporate governance certification is a plus
Experience supporting boards, taking C-level meeting minutes, and using governance software
Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French is a plus
You are detail-oriented, independent, and possess strong communication skills
