Oliver James have been mandated by a global professional services firm to assist in the hiring of a Cyber Security Director. The role is London / hybrid-based and pays between c£120,000 - £140,000 basic excluding package / extras.
This hire will be a key addition to the firm's leadership team with a specific focus on growing the portfolio of cyber consulting services to pan-industry clients. Additionally, the role will also focus on identifying, developing, managing and delivering high-profile and complex cyber security engagements.
The team sits in a broader Digital Risk service line; where neighboruing teams will focus on client challenges and issues around; IT risk, IT GRC, ERP, Cloud, IT & Internal Audit, Data Analytics, AI, Risk & Resilience.
In this busy and rewarding role, you'll be responsible for:
- Developing opportunities to proposal stage
- Managing and delivery of cyber assessment engagements aligned to common security frameworks
- Supporting the Cyber Security leadership team to grow the consulting service line including developing junior members, formalising new services and assisting with growing awareness across internal and external networks
- Assisting with proposals and value propositions to deliver service to new and existing clients
- Collaborating with clients to understand their strategy to reduce cyber risk, identify areas where they may need additional support and help to gain leadership approval
- Managing budgets and key financial metrics for engagements, as well as completing administrative tasks on engagements
An individual with a selection of the following attributes would be an ideal candidate for application:
- Demonstrable experience in leading a cyber security business within a UK Consulting group or equivilent.
- Demonstrable interest, training, experience or certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM) in cyber security
- Experience in managing, working with and developing large clients.
- Ability to build sustainable relationships and networks with team members and with clients
- Experience managing teams and a passion for supporting the development of self and others
- Strong analytical skills to recognise trends and themes in technical findings
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral) and first-rate interpersonal skills at all levels. Able to explain technological concepts and risks to non-technological audiences
- Ability to managed team performance and delivery within agreed timeframe, budgets and key financial metrics
- Strong presentation skills, specifically to senior stakeholders
- Experience delivering IT/cyber due diligences would be beneficial.
