Oliver James Dublin is representing our key consultancy practice client in their focus to appoint either an Assistant Manager or Manager for their Non-Life Insurance and Data Analytics function.
Main responsibilities:
- Assist in the successful delivery of a wide variety of engagements, including the development of client relationships in order to enhance our reputation and brand
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives and use this knowledge on assignments
- Work towards becoming the subject matter expert in a relevant topic
- Work in close proximity with project leaders and clients
- Use actuarial skills to support wider propositions including banking and aviation finance
- Close collaboration with internal teams including clear and concise communication
- Assist in the production of operational reports, management updates, and client proposals
Required skills and attributes:
- Part-Qualified actuary with at least 5 years' non-life insurance experience in an actuarial role
- Experience in reserving, technical provisions, and the calculation of Solvency II capital requirements in non-life insurance
- Flexible, proactive, and collaborative attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Access, and Word
Advantageous
- IFRS17 knowledge and experience
- Consulting experience
- Experience with actuarial software and tools
- Awareness of current topics in insurance and challenges facing the insurance industry
- Knowledge of R and/or Python as well as version control software
