Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced AI Solutions Leader with strong Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability and deep insurance domain knowledge to drive the strategy, development, and commercialization of AI-powered solutions. This leader will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of AI products and services tailored to the insurance industry, including underwriting, claims, customer engagement, fraud detection, and risk modeling.
The ideal candidate combines business acumen, technical expertise, and domain depth to deliver transformative outcomes and sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Define and execute the vision and roadmap for AI-based solutions in the insurance vertical.
Own and manage the P&L for the AI insurance portfolio, ensuring revenue growth and profitability targets.
Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to guide solution development.
Product & Solution Development:
Lead cross-functional teams (data science, engineering, actuarial, product, and design) to develop scalable AI solutions.
Collaborate with clients, partners, and stakeholders to design innovative offerings across the insurance value chain.
Ensure solutions meet regulatory, ethical, and compliance standards specific to the insurance sector.
Go-to-Market & Commercialization:
Drive go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and sales enablement initiatives.
Build and manage key relationships with insurance carriers, brokers, reinsurers, and regulatory bodies.
Represent the organization at industry forums, conferences, and client meetings.
Operational & Financial Oversight:
Monitor and optimize operational efficiency, team performance, and solution delivery timelines.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the AI insurance portfolio.
Develop business cases, ROI analyses, and client impact assessments.
Qualifications:
Must-Have:
10+ years of experience in the insurance industry (e.g., underwriting, claims, actuarial, product).
5+ years of experience leading AI, analytics, or technology-enabled transformation initiatives.
Proven track record of P&L ownership and achieving financial targets.
Deep understanding of insurance regulatory requirements, data structures, and industry workflows.
Strong grasp of AI/ML technologies, including predictive modeling, NLP, computer vision, and automation.
Experience in commercializing AI/analytics solutions and working with enterprise clients.
Preferred:
Prior leadership experience at an insurance company, consulting firm, or AI/tech provider serving insurers.
Advanced degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Data Science, MBA, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern AI/ML tech stack.
