I am currently working with a market leading Speciality Insurer who are looking to expand their Tax function by hiring an Indirect Tax Manager who will report directly to the Head of Indirect Tax. This role is looking for someone with an extensive Indirect Tax background working with the Financial Services/Practice market.

Role requirements;

• Help manage the group's relationship with HMRC and European tax authorities with respect to Indirect Taxes.
• Manage a rolling program of VAT and IPT audit/validation across the business;
• Ensure the accurate and timely completion of the UK VAT return;
• Work together with the Head of Indirect Tax and Transfer Pricing in maintaining the partial exemption position across Europe;
• Manage the relationship with the outsourced compliance providers regarding our European VAT returns;

Skills and Experience

• ACA or CTA qualified;
• Good understanding of VAT;
• Have an indirect tax or tax accounting background within a large accountancy firm or corporate;
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills to deal with large sets of data;
