We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Manager to join our team. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related functions for our organization, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and maximizing tax efficiencies. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in tax compliance, accounting, and tax planning, as well as excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of all tax filings, including income tax returns, sales tax returns, and other relevant tax filings.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, and identify opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize after-tax profits.
  • Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, and court cases to stay up-to-date on changes that may impact the organization.
  • Work closely with the accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information for tax purposes.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors, ensuring their work is accurate and timely.
  • Provide guidance and support to other members of the finance team on tax-related matters.
  • Review and analyze financial statements and other reports to identify potential tax issues and opportunities.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA certification required.
  • 5+ years of experience in tax compliance, accounting, and tax planning.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy and completeness.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
