The Senior Claims and Interest Specialist will be responsible in processing and reporting of client overdraft, sweep, and negative interest. They will be responsible in the research, issuing , and recovering interest claims that result from failed trades. Working closely with brokers, clients, the internal Client Services, Trade Management and Relationship Management teams, this role will work independently in the research and following up on open claims.
Investigate interest compensation Receivables.
Identify patterns of recurrence in procedural errors/deficiencies
Initiate, track and resolve interest claims against counter party.
Investigate Payable compensation claims received from counter party.
Document case details and maintain accurate case information.
Ensure controls in place are adhered to in order to prevent unnecessary risk to the client and/or firm
Administer accounting entries to support the compensation process.
Prepare regular claims reporting for external/internal clients.
Coordinate regular meetings/conference calls with external/internal clients.
Identify patterns of recurrence in procedural errors/deficiencies.
Provide timely and accurate responses to client inquiries relating to interest processing.
Reconcile payable accounts on a monthly basis.
