The Role

Junior Security Engineer | We are currently partnered with a specialty insurer headquartered in in Philadelphia, who are looking for a Junior Security Engineer to join their ranks. This is an extremely interesting and varied role which will see the successful candidate work in Application Security, Pen Testing, Database Security, Vulnerability Management and Cloud Security, in a constantly evolving landscape for a business who are growing consistently via M&A. This will suit a Junior Security Engineer who is generally curious by nature and has an insatiable appetite for learning new skills, tools and technologies so if this is you, please read on!

Junior Security Engineer Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in technical hands-on security, ideally specialising in applications
• Strong communication and inter-personal skills
• Willingness and appetite for learning new skills
• Adaptability
• A strong educational background with a technical computer-oriented degree (Cyber, Computer Science, etc).
• Any experience with programming would be beneficial though not essential
• Any experience with any of the following would also be preferred but not essential;
  • MITRE ATT&CK
  • CI/CD Pipelines
  • Container Security
  • BurpSuite
  • ExploitDB
  • Python
  • ZAP (Zed Attack Proxy)
  • Nuclei
