As a Lead Developer joining this successful Software business you will be responsible for leading the technical execution and enhancement of our suite of software products.
The business recognises the huge impact that the modern digital era, particularly new fin-tech businesses, are having on the world of financial services and is seeking a strong Senior or Lead developer with a keen interest in new technologies, the enthusiasm to grasp these changes, and the energy to drive development of new systems and services.
You will be at the heart of technical decisions whilst also being hands-on in writing high-quality software, mentoring & coaching developers within the team and collaborating with Product Owners to deliver value utilising the Agile (SCRUM) framework.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing secure, robust, scalable technical products. Including testing and releasing of code from Test through to UAT and Production
- Responsible for guiding and overseeing developers through tasks, providing direction and advice where required.
- Responsible for carrying out code reviews and approvals on any code changes.
- Responsible for communicating technical detail to non-technical team members and stakeholders such as Product Owner, Project Managers and Testers.
- Responsible for leading the technical delivery of the project - including leading other developers within the project team where necessary.
Experience / Knowledge
- Strong C# (.NET and .NET Core experience)
- Experience with Agile software development frameworks and processes
- T- shaped skill set. In depth knowledge and experience in developing software applications on a specific software platform or technology and broad knowledge of related technologies.
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS, XML, Windows and IIS
- Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React (preferred), Angular, AJAX etc.
- Experience in API development and microservices architecture
- Experience with SQL Server and SSIS
- Extensive knowledge of source code change management primarily using GitHub
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to discuss, articulate and simplify technology to non-technical people.
- Advanced analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
