Our client, a leading Financial Services company in Zurich, is seeking a skilled Linux DevOps Engineer to join their IT department on a contract basis. You would be responsible for the management of production issues for a financial services platform following the migration from RHEL7 to RHEL 8. The initial contract would be 6 months, but is very likely to be extended. My client also offers 3 days working from home per week.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide support for production issues post-migration from RHEL7 to RHEL8
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents
- Maintain and optimise system performance
- Continuously monitor system health and performance, implementing proactive measures to prevent issues.
Key Skills:
- Strong background in system migrations, ideally from RHEL7 to RHEL8
- Proven experience in Linux/DevOps engineering
- Proficiency in Ansible, Jenkins, Git, and bash scripting
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
