The 3rd largest writer of medical professional liability in New York State and the 13th largest MPL insurer in the United States, with annual written premiums in excess of $170 million is looking to bring on a Medical Malpractice Claims Supervisor. The claims team is growing and all investment in the company is being put towards the long term growth and stability ahead.

A well known medical professional liability insurer has revamped their claims department and is growing! They are looking to bring in a Claims Supervisor with direct experience handling medical malpractice claims. The company is growing and expanding outside the New York area which brings a clear promotion pathway to achieve your career aspirations!

You will work with a talented group of individuals who have varied backgrounds from nurses to attorneys to experienced claims professionals. This leads to a dynamic environment with a lot of collaboration! There is a ton of visibility in this position where you will be working closely with other claims leaders and the CCO.

In this role you will be managing a team of 4-6 adjusters while managing a small pending of your own. You will be supporting senior management objectives, ensuring best practices and claims processing guidelines.

The right candidate will have the following qualifications -

• Direct claims handling of medical malpractice claims
• 3+ years of supervisory experience
• Litigation, negotiation, liability investigation, and coverage analysis experience
• JD Preferred

This position will be 5 days a week on-site for training and then will drop down to a hybrid model of 3 days on-site and 2 days remote out of their Roslyn, NY or Rochester, NY office.
