About the Role
Are you passionate about model risk and eager to make an impact in a dynamic, midsize financial institution? We are currently looking for a Model Auditor to join an independent Internal Audit team focused on governance, risk management, and control processes-especially those related to credit risk models.
What You'll Do
In this role, you'll take the lead in auditing risk models (with a focus on advanced credit risk models) used across the bank. Responsibilities include:
- Planning, executing, and reporting on model audit assignments
- Evaluating management's follow-up on audit findings
- Contributing to the annual and multi-year audit plan
- Drafting input for reports to senior management and the audit committee
- Enhancing internal audit methodology and practices
- Managing relationships with key stakeholders in risk, modeling, and compliance functions
You'll also participate in audits of non-model areas (such as stress testing, economic capital, and IFRS9), offering a diverse and engaging audit portfolio.
About the Team
You'll be joining a small but highly skilled Internal Audit team of six, including the Head of Audit. The team reports directly to executive management and the audit committee and plays a vital role in supporting the organization's strategic, operational, financial, and compliance goals.

What You Bring
- Proven experience auditing risk models, especially advanced credit risk models (e.g., IRB for mortgages)
- Interest in broader model domains such as economic capital, IFRS9, and stress testing
- Solid quantitative and analytical skillset
- Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus)
- Deep knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and supervisory standards
- Critical mindset with a pragmatic and open approach to teamwork and problem-solving
