Job Opportunity: Security Analyst

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Analyst to join their Information Technology department. To serve in the capacity of a subject matter specialist related to Information Security Programs; responsible for analyzing industry landscape, understanding clients capabilities (either internal or through key partners), identifying enhancement capabilities, and monitoring implementation of programs.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Serves as information security subject matter expert, providing advisory and consulting services.
• Monitor security access and perform security monitoring to identify any potential threats or intrusions.
• Respond to incidents, including managing detailed investigations and documenting issues along with mitigation steps.
• Execute vulnerability scans and manage resulting vulnerability data analysis and remediation activities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and protocols.
• Ensure compliance with all security standards and preventative measures.
• Collaborate with different departments to raise awareness and understanding of security measures and practices.

Key Skills:

• Proficient in incident response with skills in identifying, investigating, and mitigating security threats.
• Strong capability in vulnerability management, including scanning, analysis, and remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle emergencies and unexpected situations effectively.
• Proficient in technical writing and documentation of security incidents and actions.
• Solid understanding of information security principles, frameworks, and best practices.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Minimum of three years related experience
• Ability to analyze and demonstrate problem resolution skills as well as attention to detail.
• Demonstrated strong organization and time management skills.
• Excellent multitasking and time management skills.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with attention to detail
