This is a mid-size carrier with a large footprint in the US and are looking to continue to grow their E&S lines. They are looking for a Senior Claims Examiner to handle their most complex commercial general liability claims - construction defect, habitational, complex injury, premise liability, and product liability with policy limits up to 2M.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigation & Evaluation: Investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex general liability claims, focusing on construction defect, NYLL, habitational, bodily injury and premise liability. Big emphasis on construction defect experience!
Litigation Management: Analyze coverage, determine liability, and manage litigation strategies. Collaborate with defense counsel and internal stakeholders to control loss costs and ensure timely and fair claim outcomes.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation, adhering to both company and regulatory standards.
Strategic Resolution: Work closely with internal partners and policyholders to drive resolution strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Qualifications:
Experience: 7+ years of experience in handling complex casualty claims in the commercial general liability space, particularly in an E&S environment.
Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of E&S market dynamics, claims best practices, and jurisdictional differences.
Litigation & Coverage: Proven ability to independently manage high-severity bodily injury and litigated files, especially those involving complex coverage issues.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and analyze claims with precision.
Licensing: Adjuster licensing in home state or a state with reciprocity.
Other Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
