Senior Financial Reporting Accountant - Insurance Industry
Role & Responsibilities:
- Ensure that returns e.g. Solvency II are accurate and submitted on time
- Contribute and collaborate with the Financial Reporting team with the delivery of the monthly, half yearly and annual financial and regulatory reporting for the business and its subsidiaries. Reporting is done on the following bases; UK GAAP, IFRS and Solvency II.
- Review effectiveness of the Finance control environment (including systems) and implement changes where required
- Maintain a compliant culture that meets expected conduct measures including regulatory requirements
- Supporting the Finance management team to co-ordinate activities and ensure all key deliverables are delivered to time, cost and quality metrics
Key Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA; ACCA; CIMA)
- Experience in life insurance industry is required, regulations, finance operations and reporting
- Knowledge and experience of Solvency II and IFRS17 regulations and requirements
- Good working knowledge of General Ledger and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong financial analyst skills able to solve complex problems that have broad impacts
- Knowledge of systems implementation.
