Job: Senior Reinsurance Accountant
Location: 100% Remote
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all reinsurance transactions pertaining to life insurance policies.
- GAAP and STAT reinsurance experience
- Prepare, analyze, and validate comprehensive reports on reinsurance accounts, ensuring adherence to accepted accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve accounting discrepancies and provide insight into financial data.
- Ensure timely execution of all reinsurance agreements and related finance entries in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Continuously review and suggest improvements to internal controls related to reinsurance contracts to optimize financial performance and compliance.
- Provide expert guidance on reinsurance matters to management and cross-functional teams.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor in Accounting
- 2+ years accounting experience
- Life Insurance experience a must
- Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, & Statutory Accounting Principles
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Compensation: $90K - $120K base + bonus
