SENIOR TAX ASSOCIATE:
Role: Critical member of the finance team at a $40B AUM investment management firm.
Focus: Assist the Controller with tax estimates, complex allocations, book-to-tax adjustments, annual K-1 reporting, and individual tax matters.
Collaboration: Work closely with senior management, the broader finance team, and third-party tax advisors.
Responsibilities:
Tax Processes: Manage tax estimates and K-1 processes; produce quarterly taxable income numbers.
Allocations: Prepare/review complex taxable income allocations and evaluate corporate/book numbers for tax adjustments.
Individual Tax: Support individual tax compliance and planning activities as needed.
Liaison: Act as a liaison between the firm, internal tax team, and external tax firm.
Improvement: Partner with the finance team to enhance tax reporting and provide insights.
Implementation: Implement best-in-class tax processes, new policies, and leverage technology to support the tax function.
Tech Enablement: Technical skills are preferred to support process automation and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements/Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's in Accounting required; advanced degree or certification a plus.
Experience: 3-5 years in a corporate or tax role, preferably in private equity or financial services.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of corporate, partnership, and individual tax, as well as IRS guidelines.
Skills: Advanced MS Excel, Oracle NetSuite or equivalent; experience with Power BI is a plus.
