About the Role:

Oliver James is seeking a seasoned Software Development Manager for our esteemed client in the reinsurance industry. The successful candidate will be instrumental in leveraging technological resources to propel the company's growth and efficiency. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong technical background and strategic management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Executive Management to drive company growth through innovative technology solutions.
• Support the Group CTO and COO in maintaining and optimizing all existing systems.
• Build, lead, and manage the Ireland Development team.
• Undertake the responsibilities of a Development Manager within a regulated entity in Ireland, ensuring compliance and excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Strong academic background with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years in the Information Technology sector.
  • At least 5 years of management and strategic experience.
  • Demonstrated success in project management, design, programming, and implementation.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in web application frameworks, software architecture, design and development, Internet protocols, and database management systems.
  • Extensive experience in software technologies, with a strong preference for expertise in the Microsoft tech stack.
  • Strong database management skills, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server.

• This is a fully onsite role located in the Dublin office.
