Overview:
A leading specialty insurance provider is seeking an experienced Senior Claims Adjuster to manage complex property and casualty claims, primarily within the Public and Non-Profit sectors. The role involves direct communication with clients, brokers, counsel, and third parties to ensure claims are adjusted effectively, in line with regulatory standards and company strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle claims within authority limits and according to company guidelines, BAs, and SLAs
Assess liability, set accurate reserves, and manage defense litigation
Maintain regulatory compliance and accurate records
Oversee TPAs, including audits, reporting, and performance evaluation
Collaborate with underwriting teams to provide feedback on claims trends
Represent the company in mediations, client meetings, and market events
Provide technical guidance to junior colleagues and participate in peer reviews
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred; AIC designation or equivalent is a plus
5+ years of technical claims experience, including complex coverage and high-exposure cases
Proficiency in both property and casualty claims; public sector experience highly desired
Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
Working knowledge of risk management, subrogation, and legal principles
Familiarity with Lloyd's claims standards and regulatory conduct expectations
Advanced MS Office and claims systems proficiency
